Welcome to CORA
What is the purpose?
Welcome! The purpose of this website is to introduce the anatomy of radiographic images to those interested through the use of various teaching modalities. These methods include video tutorials, basic labeling of structures, and clinical case modules along with others. The various teaching tools that are found in this website hope to target different learning methods of students to allow them to gain the most knowledge about the anatomy of imaging while giving them and efficient and time effective way to do this.
How will this help me?
The content of the website it continually growing. The idea is to have a number of teaching modalities for each area of the body and focusing on the anatomy for that region. For example, in the thorax, there are multiple CT scans in various viewing windows: mediastinal, lung, bone, etc. These image sets will be used in clinical cases, in video tutorials, and in basic anatomical labeling. The idea is to see the information presented in various ways to best help the user retain the information.
Who created this?
The idea of the website and its content was created by Michael Jordan, a medical student at the University of Toledo with contributions from Richard Yeasting, Ph.D. Department of Neuroscience at the University of Toledo, Jacob Bieszczad M.D. Department of Radiology at the University of Toledo, and the Center for Creative Instruction at the University of Toledo. Other medical students also contributed to website content: Alexis Salsbury, Stephan Pavelko, Parisa Eskandari, and Amanda Mehrsheikh.
